Call for Session Presenters

NASSP National Principals Conference (NPC)


IMPORTANT! Before attempting to submit a proposal submission, collect all the required information for each presenter referenced in the "Instructions for Session Submission Steps". NPC has instituted a TWO (2) submission limit; each person may be listed on a maximum of TWO (2) submissions total.


PROPOSAL

  • Ensure your proposal is written to reflect your intended audience.
  • Proofread your submission.
  • Adhere to standard grammatical conventions.
  • Proposals should be written in third person format avoiding the use of “I”, “you” and “we.”
  • The name of the presenter(s) or an institution should not be included in the body of the proposal.
  • Accepted proposals will be posted in the Online Program Schedule and listed in the Conference Mobile App as submitted; however, NASSP reserves the right to edit when necessary.
  • Presenters and co-presenters must complete conference registration and payment by September 17, 2026, to confirm participation.


SESSION DESIGN

  • All session rooms are provided with standard A/V equipment consisting of projector, screen, head table, and one microphone.
  • Any additional tools needed for the presentation will be at the expense of the presenter. We are unable to provide lecterns, additional tables, post-it notes, index cards, or paper handouts.


PROFESSIONAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

NASSP is committed to fostering a professional learning environment where all participants feel respected, valued, and able to fully engage in the conference experience. We ask conference presenters to:


FEES & EXPENSES

  • Presenters are responsible for their own registration and are eligible to receive a discounted registration rate of $475.
  • Presenters at NPC are responsible for all conference-related expenses including travel, hotel accommodation, and meals.
  • Presenters receive no compensation for presenting at NPC.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR SESSION SUBMISSION STEPS



Applications Due Friday, May 15, 2026


You will be asked to provide the following information when completing the submission form online:

  1. Session Info


    All presenters are required to submit the following:

    • Session Title: (150 characters maximum) Please capitalize the first letter of every word, following standard title conventions.
    • Submitter Email: This is required so we can send an initial notification when a proposal is started, a reminder to complete your submission, if needed, and a confirmation once the submission is complete.
    • Intended Audience: All Roles, Aspiring School Leaders, Assistant Principals, Central Office Staff, New Principals, Principals
    • Intended Audience Level: Elementary, Middle, High, All
    • Description: (200 words maximum) Compose your description as if it is the introductory paragraph of a longer piece of writing. The most successful session descriptions incorporate a hook, topic sentence, supporting statements, and two or three measurable learning outcomes for participants. Descriptions must not include personally identifiable information.
    • Rationale: This is your chance to showcase the benefits and unique value of your session and why conference participants will want to attend.

    Innovation, Technology & Artificial Intelligence Sub-strands include:
    1. AI in instruction and school operations

    4. Ethical and responsible technology use
    5. Policy considerations and future workforce readiness
  2. Rationale


    • Why is your session important for the audience to attend? (100 words max)
    • How do you plan to engage the audience during your session? (small group discussion, activity, etc.) (100 words max)
    • What participant outcomes do you want to achieve? (What is the audience takeaway?) (100 words max)
  3. Add People


    All sessions must designate one lead presenter. You may also add up to three co-presenters.

  4. Upload Handouts


    Optional: You may upload up to five files (each no larger than 10 MB) as part of your session proposal. You may upload only PDF formatted files. These materials will be shared with event attendees via the event mobile app.

  5. Confirmation


    The last step of session submission involves reviewing what you have entered and pressing "Confirm and Submit" to receive a confirmation email message.
